AAC Galore VB Soft Wheat

Launching Fall 2026

A soft white spring wheat developed at the AAFC Lethbridge Research Station. Well adapted to all growing areas of western Canada. It is medium tall in height, high yielding and exhibits good resistance to stripe and stem rust.

Main Strengths:

Overall higher grain yield than AC Andrew (+4%), and Sadash (+12).
Significantly higher yielding under dryland: AC Andrew (+5%) and Sadash (+13%).
Higher test weight than AC Andrew.
Good resistance to stripe rust and stem rust.
Intermediate to moderately susceptible reaction to FHB (Improvement over checks)
